Tiger Woods off the Barrier Reef |
Tom has been talking recently about taking diving lessons, and Shelley had almost talked him out of it when he met Eric and Carina from Minnesota. Eric, a dentist, and Carina, a cardiology nurse, have been diving for years and should be paid for their superb promotion of the sport. Our research warns of occasional headaches, nausea, itching, numbness, dizziness, personality change, bladder problems, and paralysis in connection with diving. But, hey, in view of the danger of falling coconuts here, it seems relatively safe. Plus, and amazingly, San Pedro has its own hyperbaric decompression chamber, a really big deal in the world of divers. Eric recommends Chuck & Robbie's Ambergris Caye Diving and SCUBA Instructors, and will give us info about another diving instructor following a Wednesday night dive. I forgot to tell them about our friend Eddie, a diving instructor who owns a Maltese. You've gotta love that!
Incidentally, Kelly McGuire's birthday party was a blast, and tomorrow we go fishing in a real boat! All right!
Hats off to new followers Jineva, Marie, and Jeanine. I love you! (Aaron says he reads my blog but won't "join," apparently fearing it is a cult. I love him anyway.)
Y'all come visit. We'll go diving and—someday—play some golf. You're gonna love Belize!
Bella: When does Mom (Shelley) start work?
ReplyDeleteStarted immediately! She's already worked two days. Shelley says they were long days, but she likes it! I miss her!
DeleteHi Bella and hello to Tom and Shelley as well. Congratulations Shelley on your new job. I know you will do well. Sounds like you are all settling into your new lives in Belize. Bart and I are missing the laid back Belize life, now that we are back in the REAL world. But the good news is we have spent time with our new little Harper and I am going back to Austin Sunday for another week cuddling and snuggling with Harper. Tell Shelley I will email her soon to catch up. Miss you all, Mandy and Bart
