Bella Likes Parties

I just love kids. Right!
Just in case you don't read the comments following each post, here's one from "HoustonHoney" who lives in (you guessed it) Houston:

Thanks for more interesting facts! We have a few more questions about containers
1. was $800 the total price including import taxes?
2. was it a full container load?
3. how do get your things from the dock/barge to your home or building site?
4. Is it possible to transport an entire container from dock to your building site, not just your belongings? If so, what does this cost and is it easy to coordinate?

C'mon, "HoustonHoney." Do you really think I'm going to take a month trying to answer complicated questions like that? I'm just a dog. Give me a break. (Okay, Okay! I'll try to track down Tyler and get some answers. Man! This is becoming work.)

Tom is still checking out diving information and, catch this, is even interested in learning to dive himself--at least until we saw this sign and realized the danger of head shrinking. It's becoming harder and harder to find these Flash Gordon helmets anymore.  Gee, I wonder why?

The dive shop right behind our house, literally in our backyard, is called "Belize Adventure Diving." And we've also spent some time with Eddie, another dive master with his own deal, who owns a Maltese named Poochie. Personally, I'm leaning toward Captain Eddie.

Casper, who heads up the music at Fido's, celebrated his 60th birthday last night and, I'm told, the party was a blast. That's right, I was left home--alone. Shelley and Tom left our phone number with all of the neighbors and, at about 9:00 pm, I was busted for barking and they had to come back. Seriously, I'm trying to deal with my separation anxiety syndrome. I really am.

Anyway, they tell me they met tons of interesting people at the party and have lots of invitations to see new things. Thanks to Lisa Colby Anderson, a teacher at the Island Academy for the offer to visit the school (and for the real scoop about San Pedro life), and also to guitarist Gino DeFalco for the invitation to Lola's on Wednesday night where he will be headlining. That should be great fun--if dogs can get in. You may remember Gino from his earlier appearances as "Gino and the Shack Shakers."

The Beach at Dusk

Y'all come visit! It's fun in San Pedro. You're gonna love Belize.

  1. Every time I go to the blog it always takes me to “Bella Goes to Dinner” I usually go to Google and type in “bellainbelize.com” to access the site.

I then have to click on February and it will take me to the latest entry. However, when I try to access it from my phone it comes up in a mobile version and it doesn’t show the February tab or the archives. If I scroll all the way down it will give me something that says “view web version.” I click on that and it allows me to view the February tab and eventually I can end up at the current blog entry.

It’s not that big a deal to go thru the extra steps if you know that you have to do it. But I was asking Dane if he had been following the blog and he said that he had gone to the blog several times but that he didn’t see any new entries. In fact, he was disappointed how non-diligent Bella had been about posting. Anyhow, I don’t know if anyone else is having that problem.

When I go to www.nextgenerationcrossfit.com it takes me to the current day so I know it’s possible.

  2. Mr. Mayor: Whenever I open the website, it goes directly to the last entry. I'll try to sort it out.
Between you and HoustonHoney, I have a lot of work to do. Thanks a lot.

  3. Okay, I think this is what's happening: You have inadvertently bookmarked "http://bellainbelize.blogspot.com/2012/01/bella-goes-to-dinner.html". That takes you every time to the earlier post. Change your bookmark to "bellainbelize.com" and see if that fixes the problem. Let me know.

  4. Actually, when you type in www.bellainbelize.com", it automatically redirects to "Bellainbelize.blogspot.com." That is the URL you are bookmarking.

  5. Mayor,
I have this issue on my iPhone, but not my mac. It is very frustrating and so I hope Bella's IT department figures this out. I think she's losing 1000's of lazy readers. jk It is a learning curve , I mean I actually have a blog that I have never posted one thing on.. so kudos for the only blog I know of that is both funny and informative on a daily basis.
    Bella,
I figured you needed a break from lounging around all day taking in great food and sunsets. I need some actual re-location info, get on it!

  6. P.S. It has to be more fun getting these inquiries than all that "free legal " advice you used to get asked for! I don't have sympathy for anyone giving the latest dive report and restaurant reviews on a tropical island. I'm serious, I don't.
